Shield for full duplex RS-422 over CAT5. Its a multidrop bus that works with serial bootloaders (e.g. optiboot, xboot… ) and avrdude.

Both hardware and firmware for RPUadpt are on GitHub, most of the firmware examples were used during testing of the board. The principal application is Remote which pairs the RPUftdi's Host2Remote application. At this time the two programs are nearly identical, but Host2Remote broadcast a disconnect state on the DTR pair when the setup function runs.

Revision ^5 adds some test points and isolates the microcontroller ICP1 pin. RPUpi is using the ICP1 pin to shutdown the host, it is just connected to a test point on then RPUadpt.

An RJ45 with termination resistors for the RX, TX, and DTR pair will be included with this board, I've ordered some parts for evaluation. The RPUftdi has terminations on board, but the RPUadpt needs to be easy to daisy chain.
